Well, assuming it starts next weekend, which it should, it will be dyno time for break in and initial tuning on Sunday. Then probably the next weekend after that It will get certified probably in Tucson, then the following weeks will be the firs shakedown runs, and probably licensing, sooo I would say sometime next month maybe we would head out there for a weekend.

Not yet. I was going to do the final passes in a friend's promod vette but he was having problems with the car.
I'm doing ssome more secret squirrel shit to the car this weekend to see if I can get it from 10.19 into the nines and then maybe I can actually license in my own car . . . lol
I really want to get into the nines on motor. Nothing I have thrown at it seems to make any difference, until I started playing with the fuel trim. Now that I know I'm on to something, I'm going to concentrate on fuel and timing and try to get the 60 foot time down from the current 1.40. I'm also putting a vacuum pump on it and building a carbon fiber scoop tray to force more air into the motor at the big end.
The bottom line is that I need another .29 to be where I need to be. About .39 would be even better.
It'll get there.

Update on the motor.
As long as it's apart, we are doing a new cam. Increasing lift from .720 to .800 and maybe giving it a bit more duration.
This will mean that I have to launch a little higher on the 2-step. But, with the 6,000 rpm converter, it should be great down track.
Look for 9.70-9.80 on motor and 8.50ish on spray. :boink:

I just talked to my builder, who just talked to Comp Cams, and they settled on a cam with .830 on the intake and .798 on the exhaust. Lobe center will change from 108 to 110 and the duration will stay around .278.
might be a little lumpy at idle . . . lol ;D
