What would it take to put a 03-04 Cobra blower on a 2v? Im doing a PI kit on my 1996 GT and can get a good deal on the Eaton blower. I heard there was a kit out for it but I guess it is like $3,000 but im assuming that comes with the blower which I dont need. Also how much power would this put out with a PI set up and the usual bolt ons?

Theres a lot of mother fuckers that dont know how to use google or something.

They make an adapter plate with intercooler but its 2k

so your gonna spend 2k+ another like 1k-1500 on injectors, maf, fuel pump, tune + what youve got into the blower that really isnt all that good anyway.

You would be better off just buying a vortech/procharger IMO.

I guess if you want a roots type you could do it relatively cheap

Wow yea that sucks that its $2,000 because I can get the blower, mass air, throttle body, and plenum for around $250 maybe a little less. I know thats a good deal but by the time I get injectors and the adapter kit were talking $2500+ not counting the tune since no matter what blower I put on im gonna need a tune :dunno: Still might be worth the money but I dont know how much power I will get :dunno:

Im sure you could make enough power to be limited by the stock internals.

With a pi engine and like 10 psi you will be limited cause our weak stock internals.

I would say high 300s/ maybe 400 rwhp with 10 psi.

yea...I think its a waste since you should be able to go used vortech/procharger for less than 3k.

I did my setup for no more than 2500 with 42lbers, pmas, 255 lph pump, tuned.

The problem is how to run boost. The Tork Tech setup also comes with a cross brace that mounts to the front of the engine that contains the idler assembly. It has a PS relocate bracket, a alternator relocate, a damper and secondary lower pulley that drives the blower. The problem was, that if you run the blower off the stock accessory belt, you would never make any boost. As you all know, the Lightnings and Cobras all run a MUCH larger secondary pulley on the bottom. It would be like putting a 6 inch crank pulley on a 03-04 Cobra which now has a 7 3/4 crank pulley. figure every half inch of pulley diameter is worth about 2 pounds of boost, so even if you went to a 2.8 upper, maximum boost would only ever be 5.5-6 pounds.

Thats why the manifold by itself would not do the trick.

just find a wrecked Harley, Lightning, or Cobra, dont bother putting something on your engine that just wasnt made for it.

find a decent SC kit made for your setup, that would ultimatly be way more rewarding.
