03/04 Cobra bumper on 98

Hey guys. I am nearing the end of my engine build! So I'm coming up with ideas for the outside. I have been surfing around and I have went back in forth from two tones to keeping it the stock blue, but a bit deeper color like a sonic blue. I have done a little research on it, and I have seen 1SlowStangs car, and I have decided on going with the same paint job, and front bumper. So, the question is. Does anyone have any information on doing this transformation? I saw that abcexclusive sells one, but its hard to get a good one from them that fits. It is a custom bumper (where the fender meets the front bumper, its different). This is either a hate it, or love it type of appearance and quiet frankly, its my car. I think it looks great, only with the right paint job and a cowl hood. Here are a few pictures.

My car is Dark Atlantic Blue now. I'm debating going with the Sonic Blue or two tone (Dark red on bottom, block on top, with a white stripe between). I will also put on a 2" cowl hood and s281 wing.

Red and black with a Grey or Silver stripe looks real good to. My First SN95 i owned i sprayed black on top and red bottom and i loved it.

5" cowl looks pretty freaking awesome, and would keep my engine damn cool. What do you guys think?
I like the two tone paint job better than one solid color..

the bumper on my 95 came from abcexclusive and i really didnt have any fitment issues. only problem we've had is getting all of the release agent out as i dont have an oven to bake it in. overall though it really isnt a bad product and their pricing isnt as bad as some others.

I can tolerate the unfitting 03 cobra front bumper, but I can't tolerate the two-tone paint job on a mustang. But it's your car like you said, not mine.

Nice sonic blue color choice though. Good luck

That bumper doesn't fit the 94-98 body at all.
The 94-98 body is more old school looking. (not retro, newer... but a older style)
The new edge is more of a newer generation look and the body parts dont match up with our cars because of that.
It almost looks like something a ricer would do.. something big and bulky on a car it shouldn't be on.
Nasty.

Looking at the cobra bumper and sn95 side by side you can it will never look good. The sn95 doesn't have fender flares that supports the bulky front bumper of the new edge.

and hell the sn95 cobra bumper is abit to bulky, but its the right size on the sn95. Not overly bulky, but it does it job and looks nice.

I'm not a fan of two tone jobs, but the red/black looks pretty damn cool. Mostly because of the darkness of the red. I think I'm just going to go with a 94-98 cobra bumper.

I also happen to hate when people put cobra bumpers on non cobra cars lol. sorry don't mean to be a hater but that's just me lol. BUT the 96-98 cobra bumper will look much much better, also with a cowl hood = sex.

what facial expression is that? lol. I did mention that a cobra bumper with cowl hood is a night in the rain with a beautiful girl. I love that look, but since I own an SN95 cobra i'm kind of partial lol. but I love your car its saved on my computer lol
