The hood has gone to the body shop. I hope to have it back in 2 weeks. Gonna look sick.

Today I installed the shift boot, but still need the bezel. Damn thing is on back order. We cut out the base for out trunk mat and glued it all together. Now it just needs to be trimmed up and sewn. That is my moms job, I am not much for sewing. We had to figure out how we were going to replace a missing welded in place nut on the left fender. So we cut a slit into the fender and installed a speed clip. Then installed the front end again. We hope for the last time. We used all the new mounting hardware, and all the bolts are in place. Also put the hood latch back together after painting and installed that.

For this I bought a piece of 4x4 panaling from Home Depot, cut it to fit, spray glued some insulation to the bottom. Then spray glued the fabric to the top. It just needs to have the edges cut and finished. This is the same matiral that is used on the 03 Mach int trim.

This is where the welded in place nut was missing. As you can see I drilled a couple holes. The filed them out big enough to install a fender speed clip.

Here is everything all together. All the new hardware is installed. When we get the hood back it will just need some final adjustments.

Just picked up my newly remodeled hood. I am very very happy with the way it turned out.
