1994-2004 same speedometer?

These odometer gear, are they same for 1994-1998 and 1999-2004? Because the cluster look same

Lets talk about what you are trying to do! A rearend gear change means swapping to the correct speed gear installed into the transmission for 96-99'ish(someone correct me). The 99'ish to 2004 is a speed sensor interpreter for the gauge, installed inline, and adjusted for the correct reading, in other words a simple electronic manipulator

99+ went digital I'm pretty sure. Or maybe it was 01+.

Never owned a New Edge so I can't say.
