i have a set of 165 arf heads but im hearing great things about the tfs heads also

AFR heads are some of the best (street duty) Small Block Ford heads you can slap on your engine. Put those AFR 165cc heads,
a Steeda #19/TFS#1/etc. Cam, and maybe a different intake manifold, and that should be a fun mild combo to have fun with.

I agree with the above, gears and a supercharger and call it a day. Hell all you'd need is a low boost S/C to reach your 300 rwhp mark.

Actually it depends what AFR heads you have, I'm running my stock Cobra rockers on my AFR heads no problem at all.

yep looked it up, they are offered in pedestal and stud mount.

since you have heads, why not just swap the cam, keep the cobra intake, add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, shorty headers, off road x or H pipe, tune it and call it a day. oh and most importand and the first mod is gears.
