1994 GT Motor Mount Installation

I was wondering if anyone has any pics of Motor Mount installation for a sn95 5.0. I have heard it is really hard. Any pics would help.

it all depends on what you have installed on your car. the drivers side mount is the easiest. all you do is lift the motor and unbolt it, remove the oil filter for more clearance, and it slides out.

the passenger side gets a little bit nore difficult if you still have the smog stuff

dont snap the motor mount bolt inside the block!!! Did it to mine when i had the motor out, now its getting rebuilt cause i sent it tothe machine shop to get the bolts drilled out. take your time, thats my problem, goodluck

Yeah be careful not to break the bolt. Just took mine to a shop and had them do.

I just changed the god damn motor mounts and my car is still shaking, its annoying. What are you guy's suggestions. They have told me its the TRANS MOUNT, HARMONIC BALANCER, OR ENGINE MISSFIRE.

What kind of mounts did you put on? If you put on polys they are said to make you feel your motor alot more i didnt find it to be to true though. I put on Prothane mounts and it feels nice. It could definately be the balancer, and trans mount i would say check those first. Istill need to put on my new trans mount as well.

Hey man if it still shaking I woudl def check out your harmonic balancer first. I thought the motor mounts were the prob on my GT but it turns out the balancer went bad and was causing basically the whole car to shake.

I changed that shitty harmonic balancer and everything is fixed. Went to my local autozone and got a Dorman for $60.
