1996 cobra low engine idle

Years ago I had a fox body 5.0 that idled bad and was running rich. After I found a scanner that read obd1 it gave me codes that lead me to replace the coolant temp sensor and a air temp sensor. after I replaced them the car ran like a new car. I see the 1996 cobra has a coolant temp sensor and did not see any thing for the air sensor. Will the coolant sensor fail and make the idle low after cool start?

Not usually. Usually an idle issue is the IAC. Although the TPS could cause issues as well. How low is it idling?

600 rpm and on cold starts it will idle great at 950 rpm for a couple seconds and then drop to 600 rpm and if I don't hit the pedal it will stall

I'd try cleaning the IAC first and see if that helps.
