Is your car equipped with ABS? Mine is NOT. I wonder what it takes to add abs to a car that is not equipped with it from factory, at least on the front?

new braking relay system, abs module block and rewiring. i wouldnt worry about it. and if you decide to change a few suspension mods you wont have the sensors in the way.

In the 6 yrs. I've owned mine, I've had 1 panic stop. Damn thing set me on my nose w/ very little rear wheel lock-up. I was impressed with it, as it has no ABS either.

I'd recommend putting the money toward a Mach 1 brake upgrade.

I normally don't care but right now since we have had some ice and slush (first time I have driven the car in winter) I've found out how much abs helps. Don't worry guys the brake upgrade is coming, I had ebay'd some 02 cobra calipers on ebay a few months ago but it turned out all the seals were melted so the seller refunded my money, haven't gotten around to buying another pair yet.

I bought mine new a few years ago from Ford Racing before they jacked the price on them. I think I paid $400 for the kit which included the 13" brembo rotors, the calipers, and the lines.

I had my kit pieced together for $250 with used calipers, everything else was new. Just wish those calipers had worked out for me. I have a few engine problems to work out before I get to mess with the brakes.

I had a 97, no ABS, never missed it. I never miss it on my Fox's either, all of which have stock brakes and stop fine.

Not to be a dick, but if you screw around and ram someone, it's not the brakes fault they didn't haul you down in 31 inches or less, lol.

That said, the only time I ever felt like I needed more than Cobra brakes on the front was the few times I went to Mid Ohio for track day.
