My first thread on this forum by the way...hello to everyone.
Anyway I'm about to sell my crap job of a DD and I will have about a grand to play with afterwards. I'm not sure what to do with it and was hoping for some insight.
I have had my car for almost nine years.
Mods. are in sig. I havent driven this car but about 100 miles in the past two years and well its starting to show its age.
Should I start with the interior (which needs some freshing).
Add some go fast goodies.
Or new suspension like shocks, springs, cc plates, LCA's.
The car is in great mechanical condition just needs a good washing and waxing.

pick up some decent shocks and springs, maybe a short throw and put a new radio in it. ? that'd be enough to have a sense of accomplishment.

opps forgot to add those to the sig. I already have short throw and a 740mp pioneer head unit with fairly new pioneer speakers all the way around.
I'm still really stuck on wanting to get rid of my tan interior and go to all black. I guess im just to lazy to take out the dash.

If you're wanting to go black I would just clean it really well, do the best masking job you can and dye it w/ the SEM vinyl paint. If you prep it right you will not be able to tell the difference, lots easier than buying new air bags, etc.

Well the goal for the car is building a 347 this winter. Right now probably working on making the car look nice inside and also suspension. The cars going to be a street car with light track duty. The car only get about 2k miles a year and has for two years. Which is good the car has 209k miles on it. The car already has 3.55's so no gears needed for what i'm using it for at the moment. The only real bolt-on's i dont have are headers and heads. I dont plan on doing those till i get my motor picked out incase I decide I want long tubes.

Well another option you could consider is banking that 1k wait for tax returns and buy a nice blower setup for the 347...........

suspension stuff,

Get some MM SFC's $130, RLCA's $240, FRPP UCA's about $80, Eibach sway bar kit $265, lowering springs and CC plates these last 2 can be found used for less than $250.

Exactly what Javi said suspension and braking. You need to stop and be able to handle your car first. Safety is a big one in my book.
