I wanted to save room so i am combining my threads..
1) Does anyone know a good place to look for a totaled 3v stang i can buy for cheap that the engine and wire harness still work in.. I want to go the road not taken very much and have a badass 3v in my 97 gt... if the price is right for me..

2) Does anyone know someone in Northern texas (lubbock area) that has a IRS off a cobra that they don't want.. because i would be more than happy to trade my live for it.. and help is nice...

thanks in advance for any help

Why would you want an IRS? Wheel hop sucks.

I think they started the 3v in 2005. (someone will chime in if im wrong) so there must be lots of them floating around the junkyards. But if I was gonna go threw all that trouble I would be looking for a 4v.

yes they started in 05 with the new body style sn-197... but i have seen this one guy on another forum push 375 rwhp and torque, and around here 4v are rare to find, we have a local shop that buys all the 4v cars and sells them as is, for more than they really should but ppl buy them anyways.

and the wheel hop, that can be fixed with the right suspension. and i was thinking more about doing autocross and i thought the irs would be nice for that.

If you don't mind traveling, you can check this place out,http://www.billfoxsautosales.com/CarsOnLot.html. My son has dealt with this guy several times. He even got a good motor off of him, pretty cheap. He gets stuff at actions from all over. It's out in the middle of no where, but once you get there it's like Mustang heaven.

wow that's really expensive for a rebuild car especially since they probably have a salvage title or bent frame and bags popped (the steering wheel never looks right)

Yeh, I guess if your lookin' to buy the entire car, ready to go. But if your looking to get just a motor and harness, he's not bad.
