so i have wanted to upgrade my crappy brakes for a while now, and wanted to switch to cobra ones. the cheapest front brake kit i could find is $600... eff that. i mean its just stock stuff from a cobra, how expensive could it really be? so i started looking for remaned parts.
autozone sells the calipers, brakets, and pads in a kit for about $70 per side
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/pa...8knsz?itemIdentifier=200296&_requestid=412484 these are remanufactured with a lifetime warenty.

So $140 for both calipers, brackets, and pads. then just add some cheap generic rotors for about $60 a pair and viola you have a cobra front brake kit for around $200

Then you come back later or you go to a different store. I have been doing this for about 4-5 years and have never seen anyone check the part to a pic.

I've been in O'reillys alot of times and people dont even know what motor or brake system is even on their car. I had some gal try telling my cobra brake pads would fit my GT calipers and that the rotors were the same size, lol

Cool! Looks like Centric sells the reman calipers with the COBRA engraving on them. Same thing for the Bullitt and Mach 1 calipers, they come painted red with a white pony.

Anyone ordered these and received exactly what's on the picture?

I need to do this but these ones must be on back order because the site told me I had too many in my cart . It was only one set for the front.

No one checks in those autoparts stores. I went to Advance Auto once to get a battery and they said they would change it (i didn't have to get my hands dirty good for me), the guy couldn't even change my battery. He couldn't turn the bolt.....I ended up doing it in the parking lot in half the time it took to watch him try to budge the bolt. He claimed he didn't want to break it. What a girl.

^more proof they have no idea what the hell they are saying.
