2000 GT Starting Problems

Had my 2000 GT just about a month and everything has been good but today I started it and it started ok as usual, I moved it just a few yards and shut it off, then later on I went to start the car it would only start with the accelerator pedal to the floor, without doing this it just kept turning over without starting, I tested it a few times and it did the same thing so I left it for hours and tried again and it started ok, I went for a short drive then tried it again when I got home and it all seems to start ok, any ideas? It all seems run great otherwise and it's only done 39k miles so wasn't expecting any issues yet, I was thinking it may be the fuel pump but then why would it start ok from cold like it did today then not start 10 minutes later only to start ok again a few hours after that?
