Well I was driving by a dealership today and I saw a 2003 Cobra for sale on the lot. I kinda shat myself seeing as they are extremely rare to come by. So I pulled in to the lot and I was taking a look at the car. Exellent condition, 37,000 original miles for 24,000............ I was like wow..... I thought that was a good deal but im not sure. Any input?

Man, where do you live? There are a ton of those things here in Dallas. Some of them are heavily modified.

sorry but they are not rare and most are dogged out. Plus that a little to much for the car. I sure they will take less. $8k off sticker and almost 5 years old.

there are only a couple around here, i stopped to look at a cobra the other day, 2001 with low miles they wanted 19k. some dealerships think just because it's a cobra they can screw you

For me, it's not so much the price of the car that is cost prohibitive, but the insurance that goes along with it. If I remember right, I was quoted something crazy like $288 per month to insure it, and I'm 26 with no tickets/accidents in five years, college grad, multiple line discount, etc etc...

24k is just the starting point...if you are truelly serious then go negotiate...you should be able to get it for 19-20k which is a good price for a car with low miles...but remember you'll be spending @20k for a car with no warranty at all so if something breaks you will still be making payments and fixing it yourself.
