300 RWHP mark?

Hey guys, i'm trying to come up with a resonable $$$ amount to hit 300 RWHP. Could i do it with this combo? I was thinking:

PI head/ Intake
Aftermarket Cam
Long Tube's
My Mac o/r prochamber
Mac Catback
5 speed swap

Could I hit 300 rwhp with a good tune?
What cam's should i be looking for?
I'm looking to shoot a 100-150 wet shot on it too but not included in the 300 mark
I've seen a lot of people hit 270 with the pi cars and aftermarket cam with stock headers... so i'm thinking 300 is somewhere around there.

The PI swap and EVERY bolt on know to man might get you there, youll be mighty close for sure. Id do a port/polish job on the PI heads and make sure you get some strong profile cams to give you a extra push toward the magic 300

Port the pi head for an easy 300rwhp.

Stage one cam's are safe and provide a decent gain. I don't know about the stage 2+ cams with our pistons. We might have to use notched pistons.

I was at 285 with Ported PI heads, Comp 262ah cams, Pi Intake and full exhaust, pulleys, plenum,tb etc etc etc...through an auto and 93 octane dyno tune...you should get to 300 with a 5 sp and non ported heads i would think...if not you will be damn close.

I feel you on the 300 hp mark that is what I want to hold me over until I get out of college. MPH can hook you up with some custom ground cams and they cost the same as comp cams would... just a suggestion.

how much hp would you be at with a full PI swap and full exhaust and all the bolt -on's imagineable just not p and p'd

usually full pi swap with all the bolt ons, exhaust, including long tubes will be close to 300 whp...would depend on the dyno used too.

Probably 270-300 whp

ok then, i think i'm sticking with the auto and getting a stall for it.... so

I would need all that stuff to get to 300 huh... hmmm we will have to see. I might do a little work myself on the heads before they go in.... maybe a little exaust work, polish the inside and get the ridges down, gasket match, and some bowl work to smooth it out. That shouldn't be too bad right?

I'm kind looking to run a 11:1 or 12:1 CR with about 125/150 wet shot. down the road after the shortblock build... its probably gonna be on a 5.4 2v though.

But i don't know, that supercharger is a bit out of my price range... if i end up going whit a 4v "if it falls into my lap for cheap" then i'll go turbo or supercharged.

Im on the same boat about shooting for 300rwhp. I am looking at getting a built Circle-D tranny with 3k stall then do some mild head work and hopefully that will get me pretty damn close to 300.

Then its pray time, probably a 100shot, b/c with my high compression it should make some pretty good numbers on the spray.

I guess 300 whp is good and all...but I dont get why thats a goal..

I mean 300 whp is not a lot anymore. Hell, ls1's are damn near that stock.


My goal is too be able to spank vettes,ls1's, gtos, all those other fast guys.

Hopefully I can with a blower and 370 whp.

i would imagine I can beat a lot of them...dont know about the vette..but Ill try.

Well thats why I'm going to shoot for 300rwhp and still have a decent D&D and then spray to put down somewhere in the low 400rwhp range. Maybe more who knows....hehehehehehehehee

My goal is 350 rwhp on motor and 93 octane and turning the timing up for around 370 on race gas. On top of that a 200 shot of nitrous. Things are coming together. Slowly but I am getting there piece at a time. Shortblock is built. Waiting on heads to get back. Cams I have already. The last piece of my puzzle is gonna be the intake.

yea i'm with you guys... 300 is the point i want to hit so when i spray that 150 shot i get 450 ish to the back tire. Sure beats 370 huh? Regardless... Mr Jones you have like 12:1 and your still not over 300?

Ps. Stock LS1's with a 6 speed make around 310/315 to the back tire lol.

Sorry to admit it but 370 rwhp is not going to scare many F-bodies. They make that with minimal mods or a good cam and tune.
