I have 275/40-17 on 17x9s on the rear, and want to move up to 305 series tire on a 17x10.5 inch wheel. I know that you have to remove or "flip" the quad shocks for 315 series, but what about the 305s?

Right, I've seen that stated for folks looking at 315s. But can you get away with no new changes to the suspension (the car IS lowered already with Eibach Pro springs) with 305s?

Thanks.

It'll be really close it only takes two seconds to flip them so it's not a big deal.

30 mins????...no way, 5 minutes tops if you already have the wheels off. You must be jacking up each side and taking the wheels off

Well, it's all moot now as my choices got narrowed by available $$. I spent $300 on the two wheels (17x10.5) and center caps, and nearly $400 for two 285/40-17 BFG KDWs. I'll have to save $300 more to get the 245/45-17 front pair next paycheck.

I don't think I'll have any rubbing with these at all...

Dont your arms ever get tired from swinging from MM nuts ???

For the record you can remove the quads if you have ANY aftermarket LCAs.

Even if you have to flip the quads if the tires off it takes just a few minutes. there is only two bolts each.

blackgt4.6, I just did a test fit with the 17x10.5s with 285/45-17s and there doesn't appear to be any fitment issues. I still have my 16" wheels with all seasons for a few more weeks till I'm sure the weather isn't going to go down the tubes anymore but I'll test drive them soon. But if I gotta flip the quads, I gotta flip the quads. On the other hand, I like the idea of pulling them out and putting in aftermarket lowercontrol arms. Just have to research and pick out a decent set of uppers and lowers for the street. This car will never see a track...

I really doubt you will have fitment issues. I barley had a clearance issue with 315's .

Just get a good set of Lower control arms. You dont need uppers.
