hey guys,
first off I did do a quick search came up with nothing! The problem i am having is when i stick the tranny and engine together the flexplate and tq converter hit before the block and tranny are together causing a bind. i have made sure the tq converter is fully seated in the tranny on the pump flats and i have a 164 tooth 28oz flexplate and the TC snout is not hitting the crankshaft it has plenty of room i have measured many times and also measured how far the converter is into the tranny from the bolt pads and its around .950 and then i measured from the back of the block with the block plate and get just over and inch so theres my problem but cant figure out how to fix it. all the flexplates i have see or measured come up the same or with in like .030 but i need to make up like .150. a little about the combo 93 ford lightning 351w short block and its going into a 94 mustang gt with an AODE tranny. I am wondering if anyone one has ran acrossed the same issue or if anyone has any ideas.
ALSO I have measured the distance the tc should go into the tranny and the measure the tc inself and see where it lands and it shows its seated all the way i also can hear the tc bottom out hard when i get in on. any help will be apperciated thanks matthew
