hi guys
:headbang: yeah i have the cash for the 4.10 and i was searching at the performance shops,a guy there said to me go with a 3.73 cause only the trick in the 4.10 in the first and second gear then in the third and the fourth you well loose the power :but with the 3.73 you well pull hard at all gears

what you thinks guys

Think the guy who told you that is nuts. I have 4.10s and pull away from quite a few .373 geared cars (all my friends run 373s)

your not going to loose power..IDK where he came up w/ that. 4.10's will have you turning a few hundred rpm higher in the same given gear at the same given speed than 3.73's that's all.

my experience with gears:

My car 96 GT (at the time):
CAI
FRPP shortys
catted x pipe
flowmasters
UD pulleys
4.10:1 gears
Eaton LSD Posi diff.
moser 31 spline axles
16" centerline wheels
FRPP aluminum driveshaft
strut tower

his car:
99-04 Mustang GT
Intake
full exhaust
FRPP 3.73:1 gears

dont know of any other mods.

now... his car comes with... what? 50 more horsepower from the factory? my only advantage was my 4.10s, driveshaft and my UD pulleys... the pulleys sure as hell dont add 50 HP, and the driveshaft sure doesnt free up 50 horsepower....

we ran 2-3 times on the highway all at different speeds and i beat him by roughly 1 car length each time... i could see his headlights in my mirror...

honestly, 4.10s give much better performance than 3.73s... whoever told you otherwise is an idiot.. maybe he was talking about a turbocharged car... but... seriously for a N/A car 4.10s are pretty stout and this shouldnt even be a debate anymore... lol.

4.10's are a great gear, not a big difference at all when it comes to streetability.
