How bad at the RPM's on the highway? Never had a 5spd car with a gear bigger then a 3.73.. how are they for daily driving? Thing is im hunting for a 5spd swap parts car that i can just take all the junk out of and put into my car.. and I already have gears, changing them out is a big pain in the ass but.. anyone drive the car with em alot? I know a couple folks i've talked to do.. just like to hear it as a whole ???

from 3.73s to 4.10s, there is about a 300 rpm increase...it really isn't that bad unless you do like 90% highway driving. that is the only time you will really notice a significant difference in the gas mileage.

WELLL sorta.. i was lacking a clutch/flywheel setup.. needed the fork, drive shaft, tuner, clutch cable.. still missin alot of stuff, and then I would still have lacked all the little clips and tiny bolts it uses.. So i just got rid of it. Besides, I told ya i'd let you get it, and I wasn't going to go back on my word.. so there ya go O0 I'd rather go with a pro 5.0/white ball setup.. love the way it looks and handles. A swap car will be easier any who.. :dunno:

I have 4.30s and use the car for a daily driver. On the highway, at about 70mph I turn between 2700 and 2900 rpm. They really aren't bad at all. The gears were in the car when I got it though. I think if it were up to me, I'd go 4.10s just to drop the cruising rpms a little.

I got 4.10s in my my 95 gt and I love em. Highway driving isnt that big of a deal as the rpms really dont start to climb untill 75-80mph

I have 3.73s and now I wish I had 3.55. Imo I don't see a reason to have more gear than 3.55 if u have the power unless ur going to run a tall tire

Basically thats how i see it, hence why i didnt even mention gas mileage in my first post. It's a mustang, there performance, not gas mileage

I have 4.10's and with my auto im running I believe around 2850rpms at 75mph.....my buddy has an 01 with 5-speed and 4.10s and he is cruising right at 2500 rpms at 70mph which is really nice and he still gets good mileage for those whom it may concern. :drunk:

in my 95, with the tko (slightly different gear ratios) with my 4.10s at 70 mph, rpm is about 2,600.
at first when i bought the car (4.10s installed) i thought it would be too much, but i drove a buddies 91 gt with 3.73s, and
it seems very close. like previously stated, the diff. between 3.73 and 4.10 is minimal. i would have swapped to 4.56 if i would
have taken up a 6 speed offer.

4.10's here and love 'em. i did nothing but highway driving for 3, 4 months and it wasn't as bad as i thought. thank god for 5th gear, though, hehehe.

now i live in the middle of the city, so that's all i drive. still not bad at all.

DO IT.

I love my 4.10's even with a power adder. I know you didn't mention gas mileage, but I got just over 22 mpg on the highway a couple weeks ago and I have over 500 rwhp. Cruise rpm was about 2,500 rpms at 70 mph.
