I have a ............302. sorry. used to build them at a shop I worked at. well, help build, anyways, and learn some tricks that I promptly forgot over the years.

1. I like it fine.
2. It's a built 422 with tons of really expensive parts and ridiculous cylinder heads.
3. Stick. Autos are gayer than two dudes boning.
4. Not on the 422.

I used to daily drive a 418 windsor. Nothing beats lots of cubes and regoddamndiculous torque naturally aspirated.

I'm selling my 422 now. I'm going to focus on only one car. I have too many.

Paul.

above post makes me wanna build a 460BB for my fairlane. because I have the engine for $75 total, still running, and 500HP capable heads are $1800 away. and because I got the BB C6 trans for free. and a huge cammed big block is just cool. and just because.

Had a 418 in my coupe...street car. Had a 408 in our "street/strip" car.

I agree with Paul...can't beat the cubes. As for drawbacks....well, there aren't any. (except for bald rear tires and perma-grin on your face)

They are a 351 version of the 302/5.0l. in fact, I think they use the same roller cam and lifters.

My old (very mild) 418 went 12.88 @ 111.8 mph in my '94 convertible. That was street tires, a 2.2 60' time, and 3680 pound race weight.
