it's flywheel hp lol but in the last MM &FF they did a build up with a 4.6 2v.

they had the livernois stage 3 heads
11:1 compression
livernois custom camshaft .550/.550 with a 111 lsa
and a pi intake.

made 435 hp and climbing at 7,000 rpms with 391 tq

there is still hope for the 2v lol

anyone know what they cost?

haha....well those heads are 2,000 for a pair, probably another 1,000 for the cams and springs

Your probably looking at 4-5k dollar setup in the engine by the time you upgrade fuel syste, maf, get a tune and shit.

Might as well get a built shortblock and a blower. You could actually run 600 hp and the car would be like stock untill you hit boost.

N/A is generally not the way to go with a 4.6...that is why everyone gets blown.

It really depends on wha you want...some people want n/a.

speaking of a built shortblock... does anyone know the limits of the factory windsor/romeo BLOCKS? not the internals, but the blocks themselves? When do they crack? 30 PSI? 700 HP? ???

4-5 grand you're kidding right?
11.1 compression that means that is a shortblock in it.

shortblocks alone from a REPUTABLE company are usually near $5000 alone. fully assembled longblocks range from $9000 to $15000 depending on whether you are using 2V, 3V, or 4V heads, oversize valvetrains, what cams, new timing components, etc.

that motor is probably around $10000 retail. then add fuel system and tuning, exhaust, etc.

Holy shit....i guess your right.

But you could do a milder setup with thier stage 3 heads and cam and shit...but probably would make a lot less power.

Anyways, forced induction is the way to go with a 4.6

The block will hold around 1200 horse, infact i have never heard of a block fail, other than from failure of the insides first.

You can make HP with a N/A 2V its just gonna cost you..... There is a guy on Modular Depot who's making over 425rwhp N/A on a 2V but he has a Big Bore and SVO heads worked to the max and Bullitt Intake etc etc and probably not very streetable. Thats why everyone just slaps a blower on these cars.

4.6 stock block is rated to 1000hp, and I've never heard of 4.6 block failure either. :dunno:

hmmm... i was thinking motor swap, but 1000+ HP is pretty good numbers... maybe ill keep the good ol' 4.6 afterall... lol

I actually think it would something pretty cool to have but notice how the power isnt made until the 7k rpm range. The biggest that it looks like for the heads is the combustion chamber. They basically fill in the entire combustion chamber and leave just enough room for the valves and plug.

If I was to purchase a set of Ported heads, I would look into those as an option.

so what would that equal out to in a manual rwhp about 375-400? if I changed pistons and cams since I am running a 270 cam and only 9.5:1 compression I think i be around their! as of now I only got 325rwhp out of my 2v and only spent $8000 to do so! that is pan to throttle body!

yes,and they're hella expensive. idk about performing like a pushrod tho, cause you can't really make it look and perform like one, just redesign the head to work better :dunno:

:rollinglaugh: So they redesigned the heads so they will look like a pushrod head and perform like one? Oh and charge you $3,500?

What on earth are you talking about!? :uglystupid2:
