Ok so I found a set of 4 v heads on Craigslist . I think they can be bolted to a 2v bottom end . Question , I guess is what do u guys think about this swap. Ye or ne . Keep in mind the only reason I thought about it is cause I want to run a m112 eaton eventually , and the tork tech kit is mad $ $ so if I am gonna do it mid as well swap to 4 v heads right ?

Any suggestions please bad or good ...

Depends on the heads you get. Also if I recall correctly the coolant passages are a little different on the deck of the head. People do it though so it can be done. But you will also need all the timing components, a cover, valve covers, correct brackets, headers, intake, sensors, throttle cables, CAI, rails, tune, etc. It's a ton of stuff to do a swap. I'm doing just a plain C head and an Eaton swap with a forged bottom end right now. I have to convert EVERYTHING. So think carefully about if its worth it. lol

That sounds sketchy to me simply for the fact that 4v will spin 7200 rpm and the only thing that allows it to spin those types of rpms is that forged crank. A 2v nodular crank won't be able to spin those rpms so you will never see the kind of performance out of those 4v heads you are wanting not to mention putting a blower on it is just asking for bad news. If it were me I would save up and try to find a motor out of a wrecked mark VIII or a N/A cobra and just work from that platform. Check around in your local salvage yards for a mark VIII I almost got a 4v that ran out of one for $200. Hahaha

Thanks guys, the heads I found r 96 to 98 heads . I did some more research on this today ,and I might as well just buy a cobra motor it would be smarter . I found out it will change comp. Ratio as well .

2v cranks can spin just as fast. They are actually lighter weight.

Mark VIII motors have 6 bolt cast cranks just like gt's

96-98 4V heads will not allow you to install an eaton supercharger. You have to use 99-04 4V C heads.

Yeah way better idea to buy a complete cobra engine. Way more cost efficient as well

There are a shitton of 4V swap threads with a good how-to floating around. Most economical way is probably to find a 93-98 (97/98s are best I hear but any of those years will work) Mark VIII engine and it basically just drops in minus a few things and you obviously need 4V headers. K member upgrade and longtubes would be prudent in this situation but not required.

ya i agree...all that work it would be easier to swap in a complete 32V and easier to tune...plus then you could sell off the old 4.6 to help fund the project..

Not sure if you're talking about changing over to a tubular K member but just in case you're not, the K member from a 2V and 4V are the same.

Ya, when I meant upgrade I meant getting rid of the stock monstrosity for something that actually makes sense. Even a budget one like the UPR or QA1s are better than the stocker and won't murder you if you ever have to do a header swap... I'm looking into what brand I'll want this winter when I install longtubes/cams and am still undecided. Everyone and their brother will say "omfg get Max Motorsports or Griggs" but I don't want my wheels moving forward in the wheel wells and I don't feel like paying an arm and a leg or adding an aftermarket K member that is almost as heavy as the stocker (MM). Kind of down to PA Racing or Team Z but the UPR Christmas sale that goes on every year is tempting...
