I've made a thread on this before, I know...but this is the parts list of what I found locally for my car...

~ $2,500 for the sq trim and aftercooler
~ $400 for the block
~ $300 for the crank (cobra balanced for the rods and pistons that i have)
~ $400 H beam scat rods with arp bolts
~ $400 Ross domed pistons
~ Mark VIII heads, make offer.

All of the parts are new with the exception of the block and crank.

Does this sound like a good deal?

Which cams should I swap into the heads?

Should I go ahead and get the ported while they will already be off?

What should I offer on the heads?

Will I be able to use my GT computer without any modifications or....?

For the fuel system, what should I use for pumps and all?

a new supercharger kit is 3k, id look into the cc's of the pistons. you should be able to still use your computer just dont forget to have it tuned. id use a inline pump like a t-rex or closer and/or twin pumps. keep the current return style fuel system. 42lb or higher injectors with a matching maf.

I just asked him about the pistons, so I should get a response soon. What kind of dual pumps should I go with? How hard is it to make that work?

Will my t-45 work or will I need to go ahead and get a t-56? Any other options for transmissions?

This project is def going to happen, I can't wait to start.

t-45 is only really good to 450hp providing you treat it right. lethalperformance has a dual fuel hat for pumps made by fiore.

The guy said he was unsure of the cc's, but were custom made for the guy he bought them from. He said the compression ratio with 4v heads should be 10 to 1.

If I got the whole motor except the heads, what about doing a 3v conversion instead? How much more difficult would that be?

You want DISH pistons to lower your compression! Shoot for 9:5 compression or lower, cause when your in boost your compression goes threw the roof and you will blow the hell out of some head gaskets "just like me" but i am going back with Dish pistons that way i dont have to worry about valve clearance issues and i will have a good compression ratio. Higher Compression means you need More octane which means race gas, you dont want that!!!
