If your on a budget 5.0 is the way to go. The right combo with a pushrod and you will push good power. For the 4.6's the blocks are way stronger imo. They do cost more to mod but like Dalamar said the aftermarket scene its starting to livein up alot. Read my signature. Im going to be building a TEKSKID block bored .30 over forged internals. I will be re-porting my PI heads, porting the new trick flow intake, with a custom grind stage 2 VT CAMS, full bolt ons, basically everything you see in my signature and im going to add on a ATI PROCHAGER tuned probably around 15-17 psi with an SCT X-Cal 2 tune. I have heard with this set up excluding the trick flow intake had made high 400s low 500s but I won't know till its dont by next july. I have seen 5.0s make great numbers but most of everyone goes with a 331-347 stroker motor, blown to achieve this as well. Both are great motors Im just on a mission to make everyone eat there words when it comes to a 2v. I will have my block by next month
and I will be taking alot of pictures to show progress.
