5 speed swap help

im almost ready to do my 5 speed swap th only thing i cant figure out is the crossmember for the trans i keep seeing there is a bracket that will make it work with the auto crossmember any one know where to find this?????

What kind of car is it ? The auto k member is the same On the 94/95 can't remember but I'm pretty sure it's the same on the 96 up cars as well

i would think is would be different cause 94-95 in t5 and 96up is t45

I did the swap and changed the cross member which was a good thing cus the auto one was wore out.

Yea I know 96 cross members are diff then 94 but I'm not sure if the auto is any diff then the standard on the 96 up cars .

What was worn out the trans mount ? Isn't ur car a 5.0 they don't even have bushings the trans k member

HI! im miss2slo LOL no i didnt have to change the cross member it works fine but 96-98 yes you do have to change it. I would suggest just going to the junk yard or something of that nature and getting one. Shouldnt be expensive since its not a big piece, also dont forget to change the computer, If you need one i have a cobra computer for sale just LMK if you need it

I googled it and it came up with a previous thread from here and it said that the auto and manual crossmembers are different. The poster also said he tried to make his stock one work by elongated holes but it still wouldnt work. I hope this helps.

all a gts is from a gt is a more basic verison. No radio, Manual(most of the time, still had auto option), cloth seats, no spoiler etc. Cross member and other things had nothing to do with it. good a tuner is doing it

Ok well I just found out that the trans I got is from a cobra will the cobra crossmember just bolt in to my car? And does any one have a drive shaft for the cobra t45 cause I know the tail shaft is a different length then the gt
