5 speed swap tuning question

Hey guys, i have some questions.

After my 5 speed swap, will I be able to drive the car to make sure the t45 works properly? Or will It need a custom tune. Also, since I have a chip, can i just retune the car with a handheld tuner or can I get a new chip? My car was custom tuned last year and im wondering what to do

you can drive it to test it. it's not urgent, but driveability improves after the tune.

do you already have a handheld tuner? the tuning place should be able to email you an update on the tune, or you can bring the tuner to them and they can update your tune, then you reload it to the car.
