well start simple, did you see if the battery is putting any more voltage out than that? Otherwise we might need to check some grounds/battery connections.

I checked the battery , the coil , and I get 12 v all the way to the ccrm... it's seems like it's everything past the ccrm ( fuel pump real) why 8 volts after that can't figure out.i put a different ccrm on and the it's the same.. also with the fuel pump unplugged my check engine light us on when I turn the key to the run position but turns off as soon as I plug it in... I lost help...thank you.... it will start and ru if I spray starter fluid, I've become tested the fuel pump and it works fine it just don't kick on at 8 volts

Little history in the car ...when I git It the front clip was replaced because of it being wrecked...it would turn over but not run so I changed alit of parts... temp sensor , tps , fpr , fp , 2 ccrm I thought the first one may be bad , distributor , plugs , wires , rotor , maf sensor , ignition box and barrel...I removed the smog pump and cats from the car , the fans were busted up so I put a clutch flex fan on it...everything comes on the dash and it acts like it wants to run when I hit it with some starter spray but the fuel pump does not come on with 8 volts...if I try unplugging it and hooking the fuel pump up to the battery it turns off the service engine light so the pcm isn't get the power it needs to check the system and turn on the injector pulse.... any help is appreciated

ok the next step I would take would be to inspect any grounds I can find. It only takes a little bit of corrosion to create resistance so by inspect I mean remove them, clean/scuff the area and then tighten it down enough that it does not wiggle.

I thought my brake lights were looking dim a while back and when I measured them they were only seeing 9v. In the end I tracked it down to a cruise control module that for some reason when it was plugged in it had some kind of draw on it.

I can’t remember if the 2 grounds on the core support by the battery, if 1 is the ECM ground. Maybe they wasn’t screwed back down when the front clip was replaced

I will check that now...are all the 5.0 motors supposed to have the grounds behind the block between the engine and the firewall...mine aren't there

Foxbody did. 94-95 doesn’t. The ground would be down by the motor mount to the frame on drivers side

right next to the battery is the chassis ground, you can follow one of the ground wires from the battery to it. I personally use a stud that I think is supposed to be used as a ground up next to the oil pressure sender, as well as I added one that goes to one of the bolts for the starter to the chassis. The starter pulls more current than anything else in the car so to me it just made sense to make its ground as thick/short as possible.

well sounds like maybe that could be why they are not firing. I would start by tracing the ground wire as far as I could or else borrow a noid light to ensure that they are not firing.

there is a harness up under the hood and that would probably be the first place I would check. See if it still shows a ground there.
