94/95 tail light mod

has anyone tried to mod the housing to get the 3rd bar to light up?

yup. how'd you do that?

Well over here we need separate turn signals, they cant come on with the brake lights, so i drilled a hole, filed the notches in for an extra bulb holder, and wired it up that way. You could do the same and just wire it into the side lights or brake lights.
That pic is taken with sidelights on, and the hazard lamps flashing.

thats great. i hadn't really started looking into it yet. i wasn't sure if the bottom was transparent or if the reflector was inside

Its not too difficult either, just use one of those cone type cutters in a drill to get the initial hole, then a square file for the little lugs on the bulb holder. .
