94 cobra hard start and wont idle

I have a 94 cobra that doesn't want to idle or start when the car is warmed up. the motor has 3k miles on a rebuild e303 cam Harland sharp roller rockers edelbrock rpm 2 intake elbow bbk 70mm tb 30lb injectors 75mm mass air for the 30lb injectors and egr deleted a/c deleted smog pump deleted once the car is warmed up it doesn't want to stay idling it will idle for a few seconds then surge and stall then when i go to start it back up it wants to load up with fuel and not start unless i give it some throttle i have allready put a reman dist in it and need some help where to look to fix these other problem anybody have some idea's i don't know where to begin thanks mike. also the car wants to run a little hot at times but never overheats and not all the time did a koeo test today and came up with a 511 code pcm read only? or something like that alldata says replace pcm

Could be anything..crank sensor, bad distributor etc. You just have to start doing a process of elimination..start testing stuff and eliminating possibilities.

Why do you have 30lb injectors in a car with GT40 heads?

i just put a rebuilt distributor in it and it had the 30lb injectors in it when i bought it and i didnt think they used a crank sensor in 94-95 cars?

no i havent i just got the car las tues only thing ive done to it is replace the distributor

i think around 37 psi should i put smaller injectors in it? i have a dss 306 with track heat heads trickflow r intake tfs stage 2 cam 75mm tb i plan on putting in this car will those 30lbs injectors be ok for that engine?

oh yeah i believe they'd probably be perfect. i called up anderson motorsports when i needed a suggestion on injector sizes and there's also a formula to use but i think those 30s should be just fine for an n/a setup.

No crank sensor in 94-95 cars

Same problem here..., Just did an h/c/I and suddenly my car don't want to idle... replacing the lower gasket of the intake today maybe.

check your timing, make sure you tps is at.98 i get the 511 is common if you have a chip in

Really need to know what MAF you have, and when you say "eliminated EGR" how did you do it.

Dude it could be your PIP sensor in your dizzy, that is what it sounds like to me. If you car starts up cold and only has issues when its hot, it might be time to take that reman back to autozone. Sometimes they reuse electrical components in rebuilt parts like that and the problem lies that the PIP generally only acts up when its warm. They test the electrical shit obviously when its not warm. Id try that. I had the exact same issue and that was what the problem was. 2 distributors later.

i dont think it was that it never lost spark and it would flood out when i tried to start it while it was warmed up could smell gas real bad but it still could be the pip i took the chip that was in it out im going to get a custom burnt one for my car any suggestions on a brand of chip???

If you're running an aftermarket cam and larger injectors with no tune I don't think there should be a real mystery on why the car won't idle. The car is running rich and the computer is probably not liking the cam. Get an SCT chip.

it's most likely because of the cam, try raising the idle a little bit.
