horsepower number means shit in my book, ive seen low power numbers run fast 1/4 mile times, its all on the motor and car setup, how is the power curve, what rpm his motor going to peak at, what are the torque numbers and what kind of power curve is it, what kind of tranny do you have, whats his, is he useing a stock built aode or 5speed from the car, if he has an automatic then what stall is it, a mild 2400 stall or more of a street strip 3000-3200 stall or even higher, is he going with an aftermarket 5 or 6 speed, is he going to a c4 or c6 and how is the tranny built, is it stock, just a shiftkit or is it built for racing, what rear end do yall have, does he have a stock rearend with gears or is it a aftermarket posi unit with gears and what gears do you both have, it all come into consideration with what tranny, rear end setup, and tire combo yall have, the gearing of the tranny and rearend gear with the right height tire can determin a whole lot, and suspension, you have stock spring, struts and shocks or aftermarket, are they lowering springs for cornering or are they a drag spring, are the stuts shocks stock or setup for handling or dragracing, what does the car weigh, is it a stock weight car or do yall have a bunch of shit ripped out of it, do ya have stuff that adds weight like subframe connectors, roll bars, aftermarket sway bars, and other types of bracing, or even stuff like having a system in the truck can weigh a bit, i mean my 94 gt automatic convertable now weighs 3160 pounds and me having that weight takes off a bit of time from the stock weight, the whole setup comes into play, not just horsepower numbers
