I am looking to get some mods done here over christmas.

motor is stock atm besides full exhaust and CAI.

I was looking at the steeda 19 cam but for what its worth am I going to notice anything with just putting 1.7 RR on with the stock cam in my car
power/sound etc?


besides gears either 3.73 or 4.10s what other mods are some easy power adders

You can get a bigger throttle body, pretty easy to swap. Just a warning though, your TPS (throttle positioin sensore) depending on
mileage, the bolts wont come out easily. I had to cut the top of the bolts off to get it off the stock t-body. It probably took longer
to switch the tps that it took to swap the hole throttle body...lol

if you want to do gears. i would only go and low as 373's. unless you plan on doing the drags a lot. 410's are too steep for a dd. imho

yes its going to be going to the track alot its just a toy car that I also drive around town etc not my family car lol. I just want to make it stupid nothing but a fast tire burning machine

desertcox how do u like urs with 4.10s ? compared to stock 2.73 your call almost sounds like the same mods as mine besides pullies and a o/r hpipe

IMO

do 3.73 if you are going to use a supercharger, 4.10's if you are going all motor.// Longtube headers and if you want to do Intake and heads you might want to get a custom cam.

i don't know what the 273's were like. i got mine with the 410's already installed. 1st gear is basically useless on the street, especially in traffic. i feel the 373 would be much better, not bad out of the hole and still have some top end. but hey i'm old, you kids might like shifting into 2nd at 30 mph. i think it's just to much for a dd.

price is not a huge deal. I got this car to build it and make it a fast little toy for weekends. I was going to buy a 03-04 cobra but I thought it would be funner to tinker with and make it quick myself

I have 4.10s, previously installed as well. And I love them. Shifting isn't taht big of an issue but theres no traffic out here so thats no biggie.

you really should do heads and an intake to compliment a cam, and an aftermarket cam will do a lot more for you than just adding 1.7 rockers. The Steeda #19 is a nice choice but if you want something really choppy then you should probably pass; although it does have a nice lil lope at idle.

Comp Cams just released a series of camshafts called "thumpr cams" that are designed to specifically sound just like the old hotrods but still make good power.

lol nothing for a 5.0 and did u see that 302hp to like 380 lol I dont see that happening from a cam shaft lol. but it would be nice to see if there was one for my car and what one to get..
