Hey guys, when it comes to the bare engine internals I'm a whiz but I'm trying to pick out an intake manifold but am torn... I've been told to go with the cobra upper/lower and then told don't bother with it but to go with the bbk or Holley. I've seen the pro products set which looks decent but these are all very expensive. Now if they're gonna help me get good power then I'm ok with spending the money. Trying to get some feedback on this to help me make a decision.

This is just a street car build. H/C/I only with supporting mods. I will probably end up putting a 100-175 shot on her while I'm building my stroker...

Thanks for any info!

What heads, what cam are you thinking of running. I personally say 94-95 Cobra intake, they already have the elbow and can handle great power and you can port them to hell, lol. Now if it wasn't a cobra i would say holley systemax, but those are exspensive

If it's a streetcar, the Cobra, GT40, Edelbrock Performer, and TFS Street Heat are all excellent choices.

True...Whatever power I lose in the intake department I guess I can make up for in Spray lol!

but seriously for the price of the BBK SSI with throttle body I can do a cobra intake, 70mm TB and Cam...

Decision Made. I'm ordering the Cobra intake tm morning!

ya, plus the bbk won't fit under a stock hood. good choice! loved my cobra intake! find a 94-95 cobra intake on corral.net, it'll be a direct fit compared to buying a new 93 cobra intake, which needs the elbow.

You do realize that the stock upper flows the same as the GT40, Explorer and Mountaineer upper intakes right? All you have to do is weld and port the stock lower intake to get it to flow with the Upper. LOL

Or get the cobra instead of porting the stock cause it looks cooler and has more potential. :tard:
