95GT Idle Question

Hi Guy's, i've only had my 95 GT for a short time and it has always been slow to for the idle to come down when you lift your foot off the accelerator. Say i'm travelling at 35mph and come up to a set of lights, when you lift your foot off, there is a delay of a couple of seconds before the revs drop sufficiently to induce engine braking. The cable is not binding anywhere and I replaced the idle controller and it made no difference. Is this normal and I just have to get used to it or is there an issue?

Vac lea k. Check all your vacuum hoses around the intake manifold. .

Mine had a hanging idle and it was due to a dead spot in the TPS.

If you have a multi meter you can test it. we've had numerous threads about the TPS.
You might just need to do a "base idle reset". google it.
