96 GT Gauges

Hey i recently put in white faced gauges in my car. I got replacement bulbs while i was at it thinking that my old bulbs had gotten dimmer over time. When i replaced the bubls with the new ones the gauges werent any brighter and their kinda dim. Is there any kind of different bulbs i should be using to make them brighter or am i just gonna have to settle with what i got?

You could do a LED swap, but the problem is probably due to the overlays. The LEDs will make them a little brighter and blue, but you're still gonna have the patchy light.

Although you probably know how to do the swap. This has the LED that can replace the stock dash bulbs.
