  • rear springs, last guy that owned the car cut them...what an idiot...
  • rear suspension link bushings are shot
  • power steering pump and rack are shot
  • rear calipers are seised ebrak with set but has to be pryed back off, and the dont grab at all during normal braking
  • front rotors are completely shot
  • radiator support and header panel are mangled from wreck of previous owner
  • headlight adjusters are missing as well as the turn signal lenses
  • both front seats are broke down and some rips
  • shift boot bezel is missing
  • rims are mismatched
  • and to top things off, the drive tires are bald lol

well on the bright side of everything, the rest of the body is in great shape, and the 3.8 v6 with 250k miles runs and pulls like a champ.
but its also my daily driver right now so tearing down could get interesting
this is my first mustang rebuild so any suggestion would be nice.

project ideas
i will update this as i think of more things
  • MAC log tube headers
  • MAC o/r h-pipe
  • flowmaster 40series mufflers and hidden turn downs at the rear bumper
this exhaust setup sound amazing for a v6 (IMO) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K22IRRjEWKI
  • already have 25th aniversary 2nd stage red paint...oh so beautiful, going to do a black metal flake on the bottom and fade to the red on top.
  • thinking staggered rims, 18"...not sure on a design yet
  • wanting to get all black cobra leather interior....not sure if it will fit though
edit: was misinformed on what the paint i got was, its actually the laser red pearl metallic...idk how the guy confused the 2..oh well, it will look even better than the 25th ann. paint.

Welcome from Chicago!

Can't wait to see what you do with it, it looks like a fun project. I hate how poorly taken care of some of these cars are, it's sad because they have so much potential. I understand your pain with trying to fix it up while its your daily driver....it's not always the easiest

That's not regular car work though lol
lol very true.

update: spend most of the day doing body work and got the fenders/hood/bumper lined up (as much as i could with damaged frame) still doesn't look too bad, managed to pry the radiator and condensor out of the core support and get them sitting back like they belong, even though there is no hope for that core support, ill have to replace it later on. will upload pics this evening.

nothing like oreos and milk after a long day of body work :)
