96GT 5.4 3V swap

Just picked up a 5.4L 3v out of a new F150 and am starting the build will get picks and Specs ASAP

Any input or ideas towards the build?

you might need the harness man...
i dont think the 2v harness/ECU/computer will work with the 3v

Logan motorsports has a 3V swap kit that includes adapters to mount 2V headers to 3V heads.

You don't ned the computer or harness, you need a cable activated TB, and to lock the VVT out.

How did this turn out?
A guy named Bill Fisher did this swap about 1 1/2 years ago over on Stangnet and posted pics and how to's on what he did. I remember him having TONS of TQ and last i heard from him he was getting custom cams and intake but that was about a year ago.

Actually still have the engine just sitting around and haven't had time or money to start the build the very second anything happens i will fire pics up but until then the motor is just hanging out.

As for the build they are just torque monsters and if you boost them its essentially a super light roush truck :dancing6:
