98 GT Convertible DD Progress Thread...

Thought I'd start a thread for the progress of my semi-recent 98 vert purchase. Her is the car just after I got it.

Car is fairly stock...PO did add a cat back setup, CAI, etc. I don't now the history of the car so don't know exactly what all was done. Car is super clean with 80,500 miles on it. Fairly obvious but the car is black on black with all black interior.

I've already tackled a few projects and will post pics of those soon. I don't intend to do too much in the performance category to this car, but do want to customize it so it doesn't look like every other Mustang on the road.

Oh, I guess I should add....DD when the weather is good. Rain is no biggie, but when it snows I drive the Jeep.

Been a little busy...time for some updates. The first projects were to install new rack and pinion bushings, lower the car (H&R SS), install 1.25" spacers on the rear and put 275's on the rear.

I also installed new headlights and replaced all exterior bulbs except headlights and fog-lights with LED's.

For now, yes. I may at some point do something different, but not sure what yet. I seldom keep anything stock on any car I drive...even the family mini-van got aftermarket wheels, LOL!

oh ok thats cool nothing wrong with the stock one but any other wheel on your car because its black, but if it were me i would do it on 18in afs 03 cobras or 18 in saleens in any color.

The split spoke is about the only stock wheel I really like on SN's, so I'm OK with it for know. I'm not sure what I want to put on it for wheels. Normally I would go for something chrome or machined. I thought about something in black with a machined lip, but I've looked at photo's of cars set up that way and I'm not sure I actually like the black wheel on the black car. I tend to like something classy and original...truth is the split spoke is probably rarer/more unique than some of the aftermarket choices, LOL!

Yup...turns, tails, reverse are all LED.
