Your car doesnt "Drink" it, it either gets burned or leaked out(to the ground or another fluid sorce. You need to see where is it going. Is it some ohw getting in to the coolant? or is it leaking under the car? Next see if you let the car idle for a good 10-15 in will it puff smoke, or if it smokes after you get on it real hard. This is the diagnosis step so you need to see where its going.

oh on another note, FACTORY spec is 1 quart of oil used per 1,000 miles of use so if you go 3k it is acceptable to see it own 3 quarts ***this is factory spec*** but if you go over the 3k mileage, then expect to see the oil down some.

thanks alot man for getting in here so soon. but there hasnt been any oil leaking under the car or anything and she smokes a little out of the exhaust but none under the hood that ive noticed. but i figured it may be due to the O/R Xpipe

Your exhaust won't cause your engine to burn oil, but you sound like you may be burning it. The amount, 1 quart per 5k, your fine dont worry.

I have similar problem, my 95GT "drink" 1L per 500miles without leaking or smoking

You have issues but you just dont see it smoking. My car was using about the same per the same mileage, You either have bottom end issues or valve seal/guide issues(if not leaking out)

My 01 camaro z28 drank oil like crazy too. I thrashed that car from day one when I bought it new. Guess the 100 shot didn't help it much either!

hahahah alright then yea you definaly could have some seal or ring issues then

whether the problem is large or small? per year I make 2-3k miles, so if that problem is small i don't wanna open my engine.
is that ok?
