I'm currently building a 351w stroker motor, I thought about a Falcon, thats too much fab work; then foxbody, everybody does that; so now my plan is a new edge because I love the look of the 03-04 Cobra. My question is if I use a 99-04 Mustang, what would I need to do to fit a 351w in that Mustang. I know for a fact its a decent bit smaller than a 4v mod-motor so fitment isn't an issue. Has anybody on here done this before, I've never really had interest in mod-motors so I've never really paid attention to pushrod swaps in these cars, it's never really been a problem in the past. Any help is appreciated, thanks

I know very little on this but having a 94/95 5.0 car as a donor would be a lot of help. All the parts would swap over to 99-04 cars. You definitely need a k-member from 94/95

That's my main problem, I could probably fab up alot of the stuff on my own. The k-member is what's getting me, I didnt know if they made a motor swap motor mount kit or if the 94-95 k-members would fit the new edge body.

IIRC, a V6 k member works for a pushrod swap. But I'm not sure if you need special motor mounts or not.

I just want it to go smooth, the less amount of fabbing I have to do the happier I am lol

Buy an aftermarket k member. And get some kooks headers and 351w swap pan for fox body and bolt it in

The V6 used the same K member (by year), just used different mounts when the switch happend in '96 from pushrod to mod in the GT.

As posted, get a good aftermarket tubular K member, mounts and the correct header to clear the set up.

MM sells a K-member for 1996-04 Mustang with engine swap to: 5.0L, 302, 351W, 3.8L, 2.3L engines. Not sure how that would be different than the K-member for 1979-95 Mustang with 5.0L, 302, 351W, 3.8L, 2.3L engines.
