A/C Question

I my ac working last summer and it works great. The only problem I have is that the condensation from the evap core is leaking into the pass side floor rather then out drain. There is no obstruction in the drain and the water seems to be dripping down the heater box. Has anyone ever had an evap core go bad? I have had a few stangs and never had a bad evap core. I cannot find any cracks on the box. Does anyone have any idea. I am going to take out some of the interior to do the work, possibly the dashboard too.

Dash has to come out. Its a pain.. I had a heater core leak a lil inside but that's it..

I figured that more than likely the dash had to comeout. The car was in an accident before i bought it. I replaced core support and right side. So I had the dash out in 09 while repairing the car.

More than likely the plastic "box" that the a/c and heater core is in is cracked. Evaporators normally drip water, and typically the drain "nipple" on the case will break at the firewall and drip water on the floor.

Pull the dash and heater box out. You'll find it.
