I dont know if it's real competitive out there, but the #1 problem I saw with your run was that you seem to coast alot, maybe it's just me. But there was, what looked to be, a whole sh*tton of coasting. Coasting=slow, along with sliding=slow. Im just going off of what I know with having a very competitive level of SCCA Solo(autox) here in Kansas.
Was this your first time?

yea, it was my first time, the guy in the white car was helping me alot too, talking about settling the car with the brakes, apexing the corners harder and being on the gas more, sadly, with the tires, suspension and rear being open, its hard to make the car do what i want it to do, got another race in a month.

Yeah, my first autox is this sunday...the main thing is, dont upgrade until you have done the best you can with what you got now. If you start modding the suspension and get better tires that will cover up what really needs to be fixed, which is the driver. If you add some R-comp's to the mix that will overpower your driving ability and make your times drop but you're not really learning anything.

Yea, i understand that from my offroading, its best to start stock, first goal is to regear and a traction control device, then springs and tires.

Nice man looks like a lot of fun! I've always wanted to try auto-x.

That white car handled nicely.

It is alot of fun guys, its addicting too for sure! And yes, that white stang is awesome, supercharged and all the suspension goodies you can think of, r compound tires and a driver who knows what hes doing.

Are you hooked now? I was the first time I did AutoX... wait until you try an open road course..... its like a crack pipe... trust me. the next thing you know... your buying big brakes, race slicks and wheels, road race seats.... the list goes on...

It's crazy addictive, the good thing about autox is that it isnt alot of money(you dont break as many parts) and it really teachs you your cars full potential.
Now if you're in CP class, things can get expensive, lol

Ya, I really like AutoX, dont get me wrong, but open course is alot of driving... 4 30 min sessions throughout the day. Thats the one gripe I had about the AutoX that I attended, lots of work time, little run time, it seemed. it is somewhat easier on parts tho.... lol
a combo of the two will make you a superb driver for sure.

I'm hoping to hit up Road America this summer if I ever get my shat running. Probably won't do any AutoX stuff. Too much tire spin and I'd be in a race class. :sad5:
