ok so i was heading home from my girlfriends house and a real nice mustang pulled out of a gas station and pulled out behind me and followed me for a little while so at one part the road goes into one lane and he was still behind me so i decided i would smash on it (i was in third gear) and as i look into my rear view mirror i see a TON of smoke, it looked like the car was coming out of fog and i shifted to forth and it still smoked bad as i still had the gas pedal down but i was wondering what it could have been? i might be stupid and it could have just been burning the gas but lord it was rolling out!

do you have an offroad H or x pipe? meaning you don't have cats. If so, I would lean towards it just being fuel since you were dropping the hammer.

Sounds the same as when I blew the tailshaft seal out of my old T5. It would only blow out fluid under a decent load, but damn did it ever smoke. Check the rear of your transmission/underbody for fluid or even your rear bumper for specks of fluid.
