Oh god I remember the SRT-4 Neon crowd when those things were still new... I seriously thought all the ricer stereotypes were just interwebz trolling until I met a few SRT-4 owners... yikes... there is also a reason you almost NEVER see one around anymore... As for the Caliber you will get assraped with a spiked war dildo with no lube if you race that thing in a stock SN unless he can't drive at all and you do it from a stop for a short distance.

And as for why we drive these things still... they look amazing, they are CHEAP to mod, parts are plentiful, dollar for dollar they go faster than just about anything out there and a built turbo 4.6 running the same boost these new age turbo guys run will make a metric shitton more power, be very reliable, sound better and RWD>FWD any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Funniest thing I ever read on the SRT-4 forum other than an idiot who did an oil change by running his motor with the filter off to get all the oil out because he couldn't get the drain plug off was that the SRT-4 Neon was a superior DRAG platform to a Mustang... yeah... ah memories.

Lmao, Mustangs are probably one of the best platforms for drag

Yeah I think the srt4 butthurt came from dumping $20k+ or whatever they used to cost and then promptly getting dusted by a bolt on new edge or 5.0 lol.

My bolt-on SRT4 neon had no trouble hanging with bolt-on PI Mustangs. Caliber's a good bit heavier than the Neons though. My car was a really fun car for what it was but the FWD sucked. With solid motor mounts, I could launch my SRT4 a good bit better although it still wasn't really at RWD status. I suprised a LOT of people with that car and put my fair number of Mustangs to shame with it. That being said, I still have both my Mustangs and the SRT was traded for a bike. I wouldn't mind another if I could find one dirt cheap because aftermarket parts for them are fairly cheap. Wastegate, exhaust, tuner, and you're real close to 300whp.

E-racing is the gayest form of racing. Ever.

Just go race him. Who cares if you lose? Racing is fun.

This thread sucks.
