A tune

I don't want to sound stuiped but what is a tune is it just a tune up I know that theres probably a write up about this and is it only for deffrent years thanks for any input on this

A tune is a recalibration of the vehicles ECU (computer). Allows adjustments to dial in the maximum amount of power and/or fuel economy desired etc.

94-95 mustangs would require a chip to be tuned since they're obd-i. 96-04 can use a handheld tuner for obd-ii tuning.

Is it a most to have our it didn't matter until I have major work done like heades and cam work done or having the basic bolt on we'll work our it s a waste of money for now

Bolt ons it's not necessary but not a bad idea to maximize power. For serious work it's necessary or the car probably won't run.
