I don't think a lot were ever bought. I do remember a MM&FF article about it a long time ago, pretty sure it was the issue where they road tested the '99 GT for the first time. But I just don't think they ever really sold that well, probably due to that ridiculous price.

I re-watched that vid like 4 times over and over...

the suspension in that thing looks SET UP!!! And its really cool how they said that Kenny Brown actually tore down the 4v and balanced/blueprinted it...

Motorweek described it well, "A racecar for the street."

I wish i could go back in time to 1998 and get that car.

Those KB 289 RS's were the shizzle when these were fresh on the block. They were in the mags a few times and KB raced them every where. After he started getting sick I guess they just stopped making them and now everything is 05+.

Kenny Brown at one point was the only company making suspension parts that were any good for this body. Thats why my car has KB Super subs because there pretty much was no other option at the time.

If I remember correctly they made a road race version and a 1/4 mile version of the RS's.

The 289 was the top of the line model. The base didn't have the poked shortblock and was stock displacement IIRC. KB also used the SVO heads/Intake and or Supercharger as options in the 2V models.
