How the F do you remove these GD things from the steering knuckle? Please enlighten me before I break another one.

Either a 1/4 or 5/16 starred socket. 1 bolt with some wd40 and scrape excess road grime. It should ease on out. Its on the spindle hub.

I could only get the bolt out on the one side... after removing the bolt it was still really solid in there so i started to gently pry at it and next thing i know the part by the bolt snapped off and the rest of it is still stuck through the hub.

Happens some times. car is what about 20 years old? parts get old and stuck.

Turns out tapping them out from the other side is the way to go, much stronger that way. chalk it up as a learning experience, at least it isn't an insanely expensive part.

Sometimes that will work, other times it will shatter that way as well.
