Ac help

Alright guys , my ac doesn't work , just wanted to know what I need to to check first , but I have noticed when I turn the ac on the front of the compressor doesn't spin. 1998 Gt

Is the belt smoking? Theres alot to check, have you tried charging the system?

No the belt doesn't smoke , I have tried recharging the system , I guess the front of the compressor not spinning means nothing?

Do you have 12V at the A/C Clutch wires? If you do, then the clutch/compressor is junk, idk if they are available separately. If you don't, check fuses?

I went to a "Free Ac check" said it was a ccrm , if I were to buy one , would I be able to do it my self?

It's in the right fenderwell, should be easy.
