So I thought I would go and get some gas in my car since I haven't driven it in a couple weeks. I drive to the gas station and the AC is working fine, Ice cold air, no problems. When I get back in my car I try and start the car, and it turns over a couple times, sputters and shuts off. I try and start it again and it fired right up. But after driving a few miles, I noticed that the air was only blowing out of the defroster. No matter what I set it on ( ie Vent, AC, Max AC) it will onl blow out the defroster. What could it possibly be?

vacuum line. might be under the dash that it broke (or just came loose) or it could be under the hood. i hope its the one under the hood because it so much easier to work that one.

pop the hood open and look a the firewall on the passanger side. there should be 2 big tubes that go into the firewall, right? those are the coolant passages that go to the heatercore. right below that, there should be a vacuum line (small) that also leads into the firewall. follow that in the engine bay and make sure its not disconnected or broken anywhere.

had this problem on mine and it ended up being that the little vacuum line had snapped in half
