Adjustable Cam Gears?

Well, I originally had in mind to go with the Comp 2v Adjustable Cam Gears. I had told a few friends about this and they told me to stay away and that they had friends with high end motor builds that used them and they failed and destroyed the motor. If this is so, what adjustable cam gears would/have you guys pushing upwards of 500/600rwhp used? links please? thanks

My builder recommended the Cloyes gears.

Trickflow has some adjustable crank gears that I would use before the cam gears. I think once they are degreed in you weld them in place and they are set. I just don't trust the adj cam gears to not fail sooner or later and if that happens the damage is big.

my builder notched my stockers to get my timing right.

I've been shopping around for new chains/tensioners etc and found a trickflow kit with the adj crank gears so I'll let you know how they work.

I should have most of the little parts delivered by end of next week so I need to take my heads to a shop and get them time serted and drop off my block to be honed etc. I am hoping to have this in full swing by the end of the month. I think I finally ordered all the parts

about time bob. get a move on this thing. I am getting my block back this week from being bored/honed/fully balanced rods/pistons/crank/all arp bolts/etc. I'm about ready to start putting her back together
