OK so my dad just bought a 91lx the tranny was just rebuilt but the clutch grabs like inch and a half above the floor and if you get on it, it will grind going into second we tried pulling up on the clutch pedal then pushing it down and didn't work is there a way to adjust it or do we need to get an aftermarket one with the firewall adjuster

Verify that the teeth are still in good shape on the stock quadrant. Also verify cable routing.

You can replace the stock quadrant with another stocker if you wish.

You can also get a firewall adjuster to soak up some of the slack.

Paul.

It's no fun because you have to work in a very awkward and uncomfortable position, but it's certainly doable without dropping the column. I usually pull the driver seat to make it a bit more comfortable.
